Pro Football Hall of Fame
The Pro Football Hall of Fame is the hall of fame of professional football in the United States with an emphasis on the National Football League (NFL). It opened in Canton, Ohio, on September 7, 1963, with 17 charter inductees. Through 2008, all but one of the player inductees played some part of their pro career in the NFL (the lone exception is Buffalo Bills guard Billy Shaw, who played his entire career in the American Football League (AFL) prior to the 1970 AFL-NFL merger). Akron Aeros
The Akron Aeros are a minor league baseball team based in Akron, Ohio, USA. The team, which plays in the Eastern League, is the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. St. Joseph’s Parish Lourdes Grotto
The Ladies of Lourdes Grotto at St, Joseph’s in Randolph is a shrine where visitors both far and near come to pray. The nine-tenths exact replica of the renouned Grotto in France was carved out of the hillside at the back of the property in 1926–27. Akron Civic Theatre
Long recognized among the community's cultural landmarks, the Akron Civic Theatre has a rich and spectacular history. Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens
Located in Akron, Ohio, Stan Hywet Hall is one of the finest examples of Tudor Revival architecture in America. The majestic 65-room country house sits on 70 acres of artfully landscaped gardens and grounds. Stan Hywet Hall was built between 1912 and 1915 by early industrialist and Goodyear co-founder F.A. Seiberling and his wife. The estate was designed to accommodate their active lifestyles and large family. Hale Farm and Village
